What we collect

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to measure how visitors engage with the work — which pages and pieces are viewed, how people arrived, and the type of device and browser used. The data is pseudonymous. IP addresses are anonymised before storage. We do not collect names, email addresses, or any contact details through analytics.

Why

To understand which works resonate and to improve the site. The data informs small editorial decisions — which pieces to feature, how the index is organised, where to prune friction.

Lawful basis

Consent under Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR. No analytics cookies are set or hits sent until you click Accept on the cookie banner. If you decline, no analytics data is collected at all. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser — the banner will reappear on the next visit.

Cookies

After consent, two cookies are set by Google Analytics: _ga and _ga_KBYDTV156W. They are used to distinguish unique visitors and sessions. Both expire after two years. No other cookies are set by this site.

Third parties

Google LLC acts as data processor for analytics. Data may be transferred to and processed in the United States under Google’s Standard Contractual Clauses. Fonts are served from Google Fonts; font requests are not tied to your analytics session.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or erase personal data, and to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens). Because analytics data here is pseudonymous and not linked to your identity, access and erasure in practice mean clearing your browser data for this domain.
